5/20/19 – The drive from New Orleans was difficult. We had very heavy thunderstorms and really bad roads. We did see more wild pigs. We are at Dauphin Island, Alabama. This campground is the 3rd time we’ve been here in the past 45 years and the site has an impressive oak tree (pic).
We now have a real problem. Memorial Day weekend is coming and every campground is full – all of them! Also, I have tire problems, actually 2 tire problems. We will head up to Mobile when we leave here and get new tires. Then? No telling. The Everglades will have to be some other time. Temps there running in mid 90s and the mosquitos are driving everyone crazy. Not for us. It looks like we are going north by the end of the week. It will be cooler.
Photos from us “Running thru” New Orleans. It was a Sunday and virtually no traffic.
