Three months on the road!

We did a couple hundred miles towards home Thursday to Columbus GA.  Then, went due south to the Gulf Coast now in Panama City FL for a couple days.

Going to the beach today then we will find a Mexican restaurant as we have not been to one, nor even seen one, since going into Canada. They are here!

Next I think we will go to Dauphin Island, which is due south of Mobile, AL. We were there several years ago at Thanksgiving. In fact, it’s the only time we didn’t have turkey but a fresh grouper dinner – bought at this seafood market.  I’m going back to it for the same thing.

Weather throughout the South is also making news. Here they are about 20 degrees above normal and for much of the South there has been no rain for the entire month – and none forecast. In contrast the West Coast is soaking. Crescent City has had over 15 inches this month and is about 400% of normal to date. Eureka is 500% of normal.

Sunday 10/30

We are starting our 3rd month on the road today. Yesterday we did go to the beaches here. They are the best in the country. White fluffy sand and sparkling clear blue green water.

We also went to this Mexican restaurant. OMG, good reviews but the absolute worst food of the whole trip. The beer was good though.

Pushing on this morning which is a good time as everyone will be in church. The trucks don’t even move on Sunday. I probably mentioned how religion is such a big thing in the South.  I was reading an outdoor article in the local paper about duck hunting and how they land into the wind. OK, good to know but followed up with “so when God generates a head wind for you in your life….”.

OK – off this goes.  Thanks to all who respond to our travels. We love getting email and texts from you guys.
