We decided to spend another night here in Roanoke Falls. Hopefully it will be cooler after today.
First we had takeout last night from Ralph’s BBQ – a 75 year tradition here with Carolina BBQ – which is vinegar based not sweet nor smoked but deeeelicious. Then we did 6 loads of wash today. Then, went to Popeyes – a fried chicken,catfish, etc place – they are everywhere in the south and several steps up from KFC. Their red beans and rice, and green beans are wonderful – well saturated in pork grease. I’d be very nervous if I were a pig in the south, especially a fat one.
Yesterday and today, record high temps are being had. In fact, some places are breaking records by 3-5 degrees for the date.
I’m going to finally wash the RV today. This is the only place we’ve seen that will permit that on your site. Most have a wash rack. But, not until it cools down.
So, we may not be in Stella until late tomorrow, if not Saturday.
Adam is still about the same, but the penicillin should be kicking in soon.
