5/11/19 Arrived in Austin on the 6th of May and staying in 2 different KOAs for 6 nights. Met up with Mike and Eleanor Moore off and on thru the week. They are the best people in the world with a beautiful home and, what impressed me, gorgeous Lexus SUV. We had Mexican carry out the first night from Serrano’s – that was the best takeout I’ve ever eaten. Then, we sat back and watched a severe thunderstorm from their back porch until the lightening was getting too close – 3 inches of rain in about an hour. Thanks to Mike he helped me thru an iPhone purchase. My 6 plus started acting up and I replaced it with X. Next day we had BBQ with them following a repeat storm earlier in the day. The field next to us had several longhorns (pic) who are quite docile. Mike says people make them pets. Both of them, Mike and Eleanor, are Longhorns – graduates of UT. Yesterday we got resupplied at Costco and Walmart and will leave tomorrow and head south, probably to the Gulf Coast near Port Aransas.
