Paying the Price in Utah

November 17

Woke up to almost 70 degrees in that state park near Grand Junction, CO. A cold front moved thru by the time we got going this morning and temps dropped to 31 at one point. We had lots of rain and some snow.

We arrived mid afternoon here in Price, 120 miles from Salt Lake, after struggling with strong winds all afternoon. It is already freezing here and the sun just went down.  The forecast tonight is for low teens!!! Tomorrow we have to get over one pass at almost 8,000 ft which is now iced up. We won’t be leaving early.

This campground is in back of a motel – not quite like last night. Oh, before we left this morning I did see more bighorn sheep along with two huge deer – both bucks, that were chased off by the RIC – ram in charge

OK, more when able.

Love. M n D
